Meet Recap

The Girls track team had some peak performances as Jaida Blissett got it started in the high jump as she placed 1st and tied the Morton record at 5’0. The night was capped off by the 1600m relay with another come from behind victory as Leilah Hicks, Ariah Smith, Breanna Reed and Hannah Hammar broke the 1600m relay record at Morton H.S. Also adding to the team’s victory points were: Brooklynn Cade in the high jump and 100 high hurdles, Tyasia Jones in the 100 high hurdles, Jhanelle Spence in the long jump, Tatiana Clady and Kenadee Williams scored in both the shot put and discus, Breanna Reed placed in the 100 dash, Taya Stokes and Ce’Etter Stevens scored in the 200 dash, Brezhan Durant in the 400 Dash, Hannah Hammar and Ayana Witherspoon in the 800 run, Aaliyah Clopton in the 1600 run and Giselle Flores in the 3200 run. The 400 relay team of Brianna Rodriguez, Reed, Spence and Hicks took 3rd, and the 3200 relay team of Clopton, Ani Montford, Flores and Hammar finished 1st. Congratulations girls on defeating some formidable opponents.
