The Governors watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 17-2 loss to Bishop Noll on Thursday. Bishop Noll took the lead on a sacrifice fly in the second inning.

The Governors struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Hammond Bishop Noll, giving up 17 runs. Bishop Noll opened up scoring when in the second inning, Jake Fuhrmeyer’s sac fly scored one run. Bishop Noll then went on to score eight runs in the sixth inning. The offensive onslaught was led by Fuhrmeyer, Tony Decrescenzo and Fuhrmeyer, all knocking in runs in the inning.
Ryan Bradtke was the winning pitcher for Bishop Noll. He went six innings, allowing two runs on eight hits, striking out ten and walking one. Hunter Smith took the loss for the Governors He lasted three and a third innings, allowing six hits and eight runs.

The Governors tallied eight hits. Edgar Gallegos and Eddie Broomes each managed multiple hits with Gallegos going 3 for 3 at the plate. Bishop Noll totaled 11 hits in the game. Decrescenzo Bradtke, and AJ Vasquez all collected multiple hits for Bishop Noll. with Decrescenzo going 3-for-5 at the plate to lead Hammond Bishop Noll in hits.
The Bishop Noll Warriors defense didn’t commit a single error in the field.
